Your calculations are yours

Every calculator on CalcInterest.com runs as JavaScript in your own browser. Principal amounts, interest rates, time horizons, monthly contributions — none of it is transmitted to this site's servers or to anyone else. There is no form submission behind the scenes and no database of user inputs, because the site has no way to see them in the first place. If a tool remembers a preference (such as your chosen currency), it is kept in your browser's local storage on your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Advertising: Google AdSense and its cookies

This site is funded by ads served through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use advertising cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to show ads based on your visits to this site and to other sites across the internet. Third-party vendors participating in Google's ad network may also set cookies for the same purpose. These cookies identify your browser, not your name.

You have real choices here:

• Turn off ad personalization in Google Ads Settings.
• Opt out of many third-party advertising cookies at the Network Advertising Initiative or via www.aboutads.info.

Usage statistics

I use Google Analytics 4 (configured with IP anonymization) and Microsoft Clarity to understand which calculators people use, which guides get read, and where the site is confusing or broken. These services collect aggregate, pseudonymous information — pages viewed, approximate region, device type, interaction patterns — governed by the Google Privacy Policy and the Microsoft Privacy Statement respectively. I never see individual identities in either tool, and I do not try to. Most browser content blockers can block both if you prefer.

If you are in the EEA or UK

European data protection law (GDPR and UK GDPR) gives you rights of access, correction, deletion, and objection over personal data. Because this site keeps no user accounts and stores no calculation inputs, in practice there is usually nothing held about you for me to produce or erase — the personal data processing that does occur happens through the Google and Microsoft services described above, under their own legal bases and controls. You can exercise your choices through the opt-out links in the advertising section, through your browser's cookie controls, or by emailing contact@calcinterest.com with any privacy question or request.

Children

CalcInterest.com is a general-audience site about saving and investing and is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children; the site has no forms or accounts through which it could. If you believe a child has somehow provided personal information, email me and I will address it.

Links to other sites

Guides on this site link to outside resources — mostly official sources such as Investor.gov, the FDIC, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.

When this policy changes

Any change to this policy is published on this page, and the date at the top is updated to the day the change actually took effect.
